Takafumi Sasaki receives 20th Anniversary JSCES Scholarship Award.

The TAFSM has recently created the Institute for Frontier Fluid-Structure Interaction Analysis in Green Computing Systems Research Organization at Waseda. The institute will strengthen TAFSM’s position in innovating powerful computational analysis methods and bringing solution to a wide-range of real-world problems that no one else, or very few, in the world can solve.

Kenji Komiya receives Fellow Award for Outstanding Young Engineers in Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers (2017).

Takizawa has received the Computational Mechanics Award of the Japan Association for Computational Mechanics (JACM). This is the highest-level award a researcher can receive from the JACM. He received the JACM Young Investigator Award in 2007, and the Fellow Award in 2012.

Takizawa is among the twelve Japanese scientists recognized by Thomson Reuters with the Japan Research Front Awards 2016. The awards are for groundbreaking research and influential contribution to global research in eight emerging research areas, known as research fronts.

Takizawa has been selected to receive the 2014 Waseda Research Award (High-Impact Publication). The award recognizes research achievements with international visibility and high-impact publications in international journals. The award will be given at an award ceremony at Waseda University in December 2014.

Takizawa received the 2014 Computational Mechanics Achievement Award of the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers. The award recognizes distinguished research achievements in computational mechanics. The award was given at the awards ceremony of the 27th JSME Computational Mechanics Division Conference in November 2014 in Morioka.

Takizawa received the 2012 Young Investigator Award of the International Association for Computational Mechanics. The award recognizes “outstanding accomplishments, particularly outstanding published papers, by researchers 40 or younger.” Takizawa was recognized for his work on computational fluid-structure interaction.

Takizawa has been elected a Fellow of the Japan Association for Computational Mechanics (JACM). Takizawa is one of the youngest to receive this award.
