Takizawa received the 2013 Young Investigator Award of the Asian Pacific Association for Computational Mechanics. The award recognizes “the outstanding accomplishments through published papers by researchers of 40 years old or younger.” The award was given at the 5th Asia Pacific Congress on Computational Mechanics in December 2013 in Singapore.
