Takizawa is one of the 25 recipients of the 2018 JSPS Prize. The award was established by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science in 2004 to recognize young researchers with “rich creativity and superlative research ability.” Takizawa was given the award for his work on “New-Generation Computational Methods and Analyses of Flow Between Solid Surfaces in Contact.”
